Monica Ezekiel – Founder, Monica Ezekiel Foundation (MEF)
Monica Ezekiel is a former national-level athlete and the visionary founder of the Monica Ezekiel Foundation (MEF), an organization committed to empowering underserved communities through education, sports, and health initiatives. A silver medalist with Nigeria’s U16 national basketball team and a Division II track & field champion, Monica has translated her athletic discipline into impactful leadership.
Originally from Nembe, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, and raised in Port Harcourt, Monica relocated to the United States to further her education and athletic career. She graduated from Banner Christian School, where she made history by leading the varsity basketball team to the state championship and winning gold in the 100 meters track event.
Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Liberty University and currently practices as a registered nurse in Virginia. Her passion for service and community development continues to drive her work through MEF, where she blends her background in healthcare, athletics, and advocacy to uplift the next generation.
